Zusammenfassung: | Since 1987, the investigation of the relationship between female labour market behaviour and fertility, which forms part of the research programme of the Economic Institute / Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Labour Market and Distribution Issues (CIAV) of Utrecht University, also became a part of the research programme of the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI). Since then, I have been entrusted with research on this topic. In this context, I acted on a suggestion made by Frans Willekens to organize an international workshop, with the help of other members of the NIDI staff and with the administrative and organizational support of the NIDI. This resulted in the workshop "Female Labour Market Behaviour and Fertility: Preferences, Restrictions, Behaviour," held at the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute in The Hague, April 20-22, 1989, under the auspices of the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS). In this workshop, demographers, econometricians, economists, psychologists and socio logists discussed the paths to a truly interdisciplinary approach to the relationship between female labour market behaviour and fertility. Such an interdisciplinary approach requires a common theoretical framework. The rational-choice framework was considered to be best suited to this purpose. As a consequence, the workshop was not only structured by what was studied, but also by how it was studied. This volume consists of the papers presented at the above-mentioned workshop, as revised by the authors in collaboration with the editors |

Siegers, Jenny de Jong-Gierveld, Evert van Imhoff Proc.of a Workshop Organized by the Netherlands Interdisci- plinary Demographic Institute (NIDI) in Collaboration with the Economic Institute/Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Labour Market and Distribution Issues (CIAV) of UtrechtUniversity Held in the Hague, The Netherlands,Apr.20-22,1989 1st ed. 1991 Berlin, Heidelberg Springer Berlin Heidelberg 1991 1 Online-Ressource (VIII, 303 p. 2 illus) txt rdacontent c rdamedia cr rdacarrier Population Economics Since 1987, the investigation of the relationship between female labour market behaviour and fertility, which forms part of the research programme of the Economic Institute / Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Labour Market and Distribution Issues (CIAV) of Utrecht University, also became a part of the research programme of the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI). This volume consists of the papers presented at the above-mentioned workshop, as revised by the authors in collaboration with the editors Economic Theory/Quantitative Economics/Mathematical Methods Population Economic theory Fertilität (DE-588)4071184-5 gnd rswk-swf Mutter (DE-588)4040949-1 gnd rswk-swf Frau (DE-588)4018202-2 gnd rswk-swf Arbeitsangebot (DE-588)4112565-4 gnd rswk-swf Beruf (DE-588)4005857-8 gnd rswk-swf Modell (DE-588)4039798-1 gnd rswk-swf Arbeitsmarkt (DE-588)4002733-8 gnd rswk-swf Generatives Verhalten (DE-588)4020118-1 gnd rswk-swf Berufstätigkeit (DE-588)4069349-1 gnd rswk-swf (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift gnd-content (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift 1989 Den Haag gnd-content Frau (DE-588)4018202-2 s Beruf (DE-588)4005857-8 s Fertilität (DE-588)4071184-5 s Modell (DE-588)4039798-1 s DE-604 Generatives Verhalten (DE-588)4020118-1 s Arbeitsmarkt (DE-588)4002733-8 s Arbeitsangebot (DE-588)4112565-4 s Berufstätigkeit (DE-588)4069349-1 s Mutter (DE-588)4040949-1 s Siegers, Jacques J. edt Jong-Gierveld, Jenny de edt Imhoff, Evert van edt Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 9783642765520 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 9783540538967 Erscheint auch als Druck-Ausgabe 9783642765513 https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-76550-6 Verlag URL des Erstveröffentlichers Volltext |
