He holds an honour bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Calabar in 1987; an ASCON Certificate in Planning Research and Statistics in 1990; a Masters of Business Administration degree in 1992; an LL.B (Honours) degree with second class upper division in 2000 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in2003. He bagged the prestigious Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in 2005 in Public and International Law and Doctorate degree in Law (specializing in consumerprotection and commercial law). He holds a certificate in Legislative Studies and research method from Rcgennesy Business School, Johannesburg South Africa. Dr. Jacob Otu Enyia, had a distinguished public service career with the Cross River State Government, served as Executive Chairman of Boki Local Government Council and represented Boki 11 State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly for eight years. Dr. J.O. Enyia has taught
Company Law and Practice, Banking and Insurance Law, Law of contractual Obligations, Consumer Protection Law and Telecommunications Law at both undergraduate and post graduate levels for more than five academic sessions. He also teaches Arbitration Law, land Law, Law of Tort Contract at the CRUTECH Calabar. He has also carried out extensive research in this area of law, and authored many learned articles in reputable journals. Dr. Enyia is married to Christy Enyia, an accountant with the Bursary Department ofthe University ofCalabar and the marriage is blessed with children.
