ABSTRACTS Aleksandrovich M. The revolution in Polish Ballet: Life and Creations of Conrad Drzewiecki Conrad Drzewiecki is a famous Polish dancer and choreographer, edu cator and creator of known Polish Dance Theater - Ballet in Poznan. He did not graduate from any ballet school, but he danced admirably, became a head of a ballet school, enriched the ballet choreography and revolutionized the Polish ballet. His talent matured in the special artistic and political cli mate of the Polish thaw. Critics and colleagues called him «brilliant selftaught», «an artist with unlimited imagination». Keywords՝. The Successive Post Avant-garde Features in the Works of Modern Siberian Artists In the article, modem Siberian art is considered in terms of its reflec ting the concepts and styles of Russian post Avant-garde, which covers all ar tistic tendencies of the second half of 20th century. The meaning of the idea of succession in art is revealed through the common perception of the idea of continuity, and the distinctive opinion of M. Mamardashvili who refers to the correlation in the world’s conscience. The author also refers to the is sue of proportion of tradition and innovation in art, defining the dialectical part in the process of development of art and culture. The aim of the research is to study the typical features of conceptual and stylistic content of the visual art of the period of Russian post avant-garde and reveal the attributes of suc cession in the art of modem Siberian artists,

Scénographie Search of Avant-garde on Ballets of George Balanchine in 1920th This article devoted to the scénographie search of Avant-garde painters (M. Utrillo, A. Derain, N. Gabo, A. Pevsner, P. Bauchant, G. Di Chirico, G. Rouault) on the example of G. Balanchine’s ballets of 1920th made by Diaghilev’s enterprise. The author reveals the main versions of the scénographie decisions using the artistic stylistic analysis and typological method.
Abstracts The main versions are generalized and specific place of action, picturesque scenic backdrop with practicable or multifunctional construction, stage box, constructivist installation. In the conclusion the author emphasizes that many of innovative elements of scenography continue their living in the modem theatre also they have influenced fhrther development of scénographie art in the ballet theatre. Distinction of Undistinguishable: Transforming of Authentici ty in the Culture of 20-21st This article analyses processes of transformation of the understanding and institualization of authenticity in the art practices during 20th century beginning 21st century. The fiction and appropriation are considered wide spread creative methods based on the concept of the transformed authenticity. The author raises the question on the criteria for definition of the authenticity of modem art objects and art practices. The article proves a problem of au thenticity being a trigger for the interdisciplinary humanitarian discourse which determines the cmcial vectors for the development of modem art cul ture. Lenin, Horses, Monkeys and Women: Hybrid Art and the Russian Revolution The author turns to the cultural and historical problems of association between Avant-
garde art and the Russian revolution through the «archeolo gy» of the sources of modem hybrid techno-biological art. Philosophical and ontological aspects of hybridization of biological and technological systems are also taken into consideration. Conceptual and ideological settings of sci entific experiments within the framework of eugenics and artificial insemina tion (Professors I. Ivanov and S. Voronov), which laid the foundations of hy brid strategies, are discussed. On the basis of modem art experiments with technologies and living tissues (Stelare, D. Formation of the Artistic Environment of Russian Contem porary Dance: Optics of a Participant in the Moscow Events of the 1990th ֊ early 2000s The article’s aim is to consider different aspects of the contemporary dance’s artistic environment at the 1990th ֊ beginning of the 2000s in Russia. The artistic life’s traces can be found in the various critics’ reviews or in the internet recourses of that period, but there is little about one dance company’s life in their artistic community. Heterogeneity as an intrinsic sign of contemporary art proves the autobiographic method of research reliable, and an author’s personal archive will support the scientific basis of the cho sen method. New Interpretations of Igor Stravinsky’s Ballet Scores The article tells about two interpretations of Igor Stravinsky’s scores presented on exclusive cultural event the VI Saint-Petersburg International Cultural Forum. The first performance is version of «The Firebird» by French choreographer Régis Obadia. The premiere was shown at the Hermitage thea tre. It was free from Russian style and dramatic composition connected with score’s logic. «Petrushka» was presented at the Mariinsky-2. Choreographer Vladimir Vamava offered new libretto and new style of circus clownery. This ballet included grotesque humour which neutralize Petrushka’s tragedy. Both performances proclaim about controversial

Architectonics as a Concept of Art of Modernity The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept of architectonics in artistic space of modem culture, starting from 1917 and up to present time. The relevance of the task is based, first of all, on the need to understand the specifics of the theories and practices of the Russian and Soviet Avant-garde art on the anniversary of the October Revolution. The continuity of the ideas of the Soviet Avant-garde art, in particular K. Malevich and his followers, in the further development of the Soviet, Post-Soviet and world culture, is traced in the article. The conclusion is drawn that the search for actual principles of the architectonical organization of the world (society, culture) is a key task of art practices, especially in the revolutional periods of history. 236

Catholic Renaissance in the French Literature of 20th century The article discusses the significant phenomenon of the French litera ture of 20th century, known as a religious renaissance. With the submission of an influential literary critic G. Truk it seems reasonable to talk about the revolutionary creativity of French Catholic writers. The genre of the psycho logical novel, which by that time was in decline, was renewed by the artistic originality of the devices and clearly expressed in it by the position of wri ters. Soviet Landscape Art: The Search and the Achievement In the 20th century, many changes took place in the world of landscape architecture. example of universals «yovel» - the jubilee year, the principle of «seven», and the cultural phenomenon - the genre of the Catholic mass ֊ Requiem, which goes out of the border of the canon and the musical sphere during the historical transformation. Архитектоника современного искусства: Сто лет под знаком революций Lavrova S. Revolutionary Attractors of New Music The article is devoted to the analysis of revolutionary attractors of new music. The term «attractor» is borrowed from synergetics. In this case, the author interprets the turning points in the development of social process es, new technologies, scientific discoveries and a common desire for innova tion. Attractors draw in themselves a lot of different trajectories, which ulti mately are determined by the theorists of new music as directions, schools and author’s music-theoretical systems. The purpose of this article is to ana lysis the system-forming properties of new music in the context of various global transformations defined by the term «revolution», both in social pro cesses (political, economic areas) and in intellectual spheres. At the same time, the analysis focuses on modem revolutions (as a starting point for later innovations) and post-modem (such as the cognitive revolution). The conclu sion from the analysis is the interdependence of social processes, coups in the scientific and humanitarian spheres and ideas that feed new music from the beginning of the 20th century to the present time. Synthesis of Arts in the Space of Russian Revolution The article defends the thesis that synthetic trends in art arise as a result of the rise in the culture and its worldview commitment to
integrity, domina tion of collective, generic base. Synthesis of social practices, spheres of spiri tual activity, in contrast to disintegration, shows the maximum mobilization of the creative powers and life energies of this society, his ability to move to a new progressive stage in the development of it habitually is called revo lution. Such revolutionary transformations in all spheres of life in Russia has experienced in the early 20th century. Not surprisingly, this process attracted the attention of representatives of the art sphere to the problem of synthesis of arts. The author explores specific forms of implementation of this aesthetic utopia in the Russian culture of this period. Genre Forms of Videoart: Vectors of Media Revolution in Projects of Fluxus-artists Consequences of the technological and aesthetic revolutions which have led to formation of various forms of fine arts, cinema and performatory 238

On the material of video projects of the fluxus artists an attempt of classification of the most deman ded within Avant-garde arts genre forms of video is made. Characteristic fea tures of such video practices as a video event, a video performance, a video diary, a video environment, a video installation are defined. Peculiarities of use of these forms in the works of Y. Beyus, Y. Mekas, Sh. Kubota, I. Rainer’s in the context of aesthetic searches of fluxus are considered. Their works show a wide variety of usefUl opportunities of the video technologies which have been an intermediate link between the film stylistics and other media projects, including network embodying the aesthetic program of neodadaism at a late stage of history of fluxus development. Palace of the Soviets of USSR: Meta-product of Soviet Cul ture The history of the design of the Palace of Soviets of the USSR (19311958) was analyzed in the context of the general principles of Modernity. The idea of the competition was reconsidered: instead of determining the winner the selection of the best solutions, the synthesis of collective efforts of ex perts of all scientific areas, an integrated approach to solving ideological, aesthetic, technical problems. We can see the ideological task of embodiment of true democracy in the very structure of the Palace,
which provides for all possible types of public spaces, and at the same time all forms of activity of the power holder - the people. Keywords՝. Instrumental Theatre: Genesis The article is devoted to one of the most interesting modem genres that committed a kind of aesthetic revolution in the system of musical art of the 20th century - the instrumental theatre. This genre was not the object of close attention in musicological studies; therefore the topic stated in the title of the presented article is topical and has scientific novelty. As examples, the works of J. Haydn, C. Ives, E. Satie, H. Cowell are considered. Revolutions of the Nineteen Seventeenth and Imperial Bal let An article written to an important historical date ֊ the centenary of the February and October revolutions of 1917 - tells how the terrible events in the life of the ballet troupe of the Imperial Theatre and the oldest Russian ballet school were reflected. The material was the direct responses of con temporaries in the periodical press and in personal correspondence and me moirs of choreographers and artists. The article shows how, in the hardest conditions of life and work of the first post-revolutionary years, the artists who remained in Petrograd managed to preserve the traditions of the Russian ballet and save the best performances of the repertoire from extinction. This film largely owes its fine design, where the Avant-garde artists and their works are presented in the form of a single de sign concept. The focus in the picture shifts from the display of historical events to the romanticization of the image of the «revolutionary from art», forced to suffer defeat and on the reflection of the display of the revolution 240
