Seymareh, archaeological site near the city of Darreh Shahr in Ilam province, southwest Iran. The earliest ruins belong to the late Sassanid era and are believed to be built on the remains of the Elamite city, Madakto. Seymareh was destroyed and deserted after an earthquake around the year 950 C.E.
