Summary:John Miller's photo series "The Middle of the Day" brings together an ambivalent pictorial trace of everyday life. The only connecting part of these pictures is the fact that they have been taken between 12 and 14 o'clock. Miller has been following this photo project since the mid-1990s. In this period, our handling of short-lived images has changed, which are now firmly embedded in our social communication processes. The fourth volume of Miller's artist book series, published at Museum im Bellpark on the occasion of the exhibition "Comedy of Manners", can be seen as a response to these changes and contains twenty photos from the recent period.
