Zusammenfassung:"Scientists working in Relativity and related areas in Spain gather every year in the Spanish Relativity Meetings (Encuentros Relativistas Espaiioles, ERE), which are organized by the different university- groups in succession. In 1994 it was Barcelona's University turn to organize the XVI lIth Spanish Relativity Meeting, ERE 94. We decided to hold the meeting in MaO, (Menorca), within the frame of the Scientific Meetings of the Mediterranean Sea (Trobades Cientifiques de la Mediterrania), as had already happened 10 years ago when this last Meeting took off for the first time. Eventually, the ERE 94 Meeting took place from 12 to 14 September, 1994. For the occasion, we also decided to organize a Meeting devoted mainly to one of the more relevant subjects of the last two decades, namely, Inhomogeneous Cosmological Models. This subject has undergone a remarkable advance during the last decade, and the achievements attained have been quite numerous both from the observational and the theoretical point of view. There was, however, a lack of any textbook or standard reference compiling most, or at least part, of the aforementioned achievements, the used techniques, the necessary mathematics, the problems arising, the questions which can or cannot be addressed, the remaining fundamental problems, the new and unexpected results and, in general, everything concerning Inhomogeneous Cosmologies. Thus, we took the humble but nonetheless firm decision of trying to fill up that undesired gap and the result is presented in this book."--Foreword
