Zusammenfassung:The scene is laid during the Second World War. Ichiro, a blind boy, and his family live in Harbin, the international city of North-East China. When spring comes, acacia, apricot, and lilac blossoms and a variety of beautiful flowers bloom, but the shadows of war grow darker over the beautiful city day by day. The war ends, and Ichiro's family decide to return to Japan. However, an accident prevents Ichiro and his sister Michiko from returning home with their family. Left alone in China, they are told by Chinese boys and girls of the crimes the Japanese have committed during the war. The story follows the friendship maintained between young Chinese people and a Japanese family.
