Summary:	On behalf of geomorphological findings, some precisions are given on the age and the origin of the main relief features at the south-western margin of the Rhinegraben rift, The height difference between the Eastern Vosges and the Rhinegraben is the resuit of the deformation of a probably Pontian planed surface ; it is of Pliocene age for about 4/5 and Quaternary for 1/5. The driving power of relief development is in the Pliocene age an absolute upwarping of the Vosges massive, whilst the graben subsides only moderately in the whole ; the uplift progresses in time from South to North ; in the Quaternary however it is the renewal of the gene- raljzed graben subsiding, whilst the upwarping of the Vosges cornes probably to a stillstand Auf Grund geomorphologischer Argumente wird versucht, zu Alter und Genese der Grossformen am Südwestrand des Rheingrabens Stellung zu nehmen. Der Höhenunterschied geht aus der Verbieguag einer wahrscheinlich pontischen Fläche hervor. Dabei entfallen etwa 4/5 auf das Pliozan und 1/5 auf das Quartar. Gesteuert wurde die Reliefgenese im Pliozan durch die. Àufwölbung der Vogesen, während der Rheingraben insgesamt nur mässig absank ; die Aufwölbung wanderte zeitlich von Siiden nach Norden. Im Quartar hingegen wurde sie durch das verallgemeinerte Wiederaufleben der Absenkung des Rheingrabens geesteuert, wâhrend die Hebung der Vogesen wahrscheinlich zur Ruhe gekommen ist Sur la base d'arguments géomorphologiques, il est apporté quelques précisions sur l'âge et l'origine des grandes lignes du relief du rebord sud-occidental du rift rhénan. La dénivellation entre les Vosges orientales et le fossé rhénan résulte de la déformation d'un aplanissement probablement pontien ; elle est d'âge pliocène pour 4/5 environ et quaternaire pour 1/5. L'événement moteur de la genèse du relief est au Pliocène le soulèvement absolu du massif, alors que le fossé ne s'affaisse que modérément dans son ensemble. Ce soulèvement progresse dans le temps du Sud vers le Nord. Au Quaternaire, par contre, c'est la reprise de l'affaissement généralisé du fossé, alors que le soulèvement des Vosges est probablement arrêté.
