Ice ablation measured by stakes and terrestrial photogrammetry: a comparison on the lower part of the White Glacier, Axel Heiberg Island, Canadian Arctic Archipelago

Using the lower part of White Glacier, Axel Heiberg Island, as a test area, the accuracy of using terrestrial photogrammetry to measure seasonal ablation was compared against 22 ablation stakes used as control. Results and problems inherent to this technique are discussed
