PUBLISHER S INTRODUCTORY NOTES
To the respected readers brothers and sisters, the Serbs, descendants
of glorius heroes and martyrs!
You have in your hands the List of Serbian War Victims killed in
1912-1918 - army commanders, soldiers, civilians, women and children
from Branicevo District. They shed their blood to defend their fatherland and
Orthodoxy as our ancestors did headed by St. Great Martyr, Serbian Czar
Lazar and all Serbian Knights and heroes before the battle on Kosovo, dur-
ing the Battle and after, up to the present days.
Publishing this List of Victims names we have the opportunity to
remember them more often, to light wax candles for their souls, to pray for
the repose of their souls, never to forget them, to be proud of us. Throughout
centuries Serbian Orthodox church has been the guardian of soldiers soul
and like a devoted mother instilled faith and hope in its children in the vic-
tory of justice over unjustice.
The List of War Victims has the names of more than six thousand
heroes and martyrs and about two million killed Serbs in the First World
War. Serbian Skull-Tower near Nis, which the Turks built of a few hundred
skulls of killed Serbian warriors, served to frighten the Serbs-Orthodox
Christians and to prevent them from fighting for their freedom and Orthodox
religion.
The New-Skull-Tower from the First and Second World War, ac-
cording to the words of St. Bishop Nikolaj (sermon on St. Vitus day)
counts four million Serbian Skulls. Each side a million Serbian Skulls.
What I wont to say is that contemporary Serbian-Skull-Tower is for all to
see. It is a four-million Serbian army in spiritual world It is an invincible
army. Neither fire, nor water, nor steel, nor lead can harm it. They are, in
front of god, our supporters but accusers as well; supporters as long as we
appreciate the values for which they sacrified their earthy life in torments;

that is faith and name, and accusers if we turn those precious values into
cheap paper and trade with it.
It should be said that this skull-tower became bigger with the victims
of communist purge during Josip Broz and as well as with western countries
bombing in 1999 when more than thirty thousand tons of boms were thrown
on Serbia and many of them were loaded with uranium in order to extermi-
nate Serbian nation for ever.
To all those who tried to make this useful book a part, a grain of big
Serbian history and guardian book, we wish peace and joy from God during
their cartny life and when they passed away to be in Heavenly Kingdom
eternally joyful with all our saints in Heavenly Serbia where there is neither
pain nor sorrow but eternal life.
