[47]. - "Copyright secured according to law."--p. [47]. - A section on "Method of teaching" (p. v-vi) describes how to teach geography using this text along with maps of the world and the United States. - Advertised as "Just published" in the Portland gazette, Dec. 27, 1813. Probably written by Nathaniel C. Carter, preceptor of the Portland Academy at that date. Attributed to Nathaniel Wright by Joseph Williamson in his Bibliography of the state of Maine (Portland, 1896). Williamson posited the existence of an 1811 edition, of which no copy is known; Wright was preceptor of the Academy in 1811. - Page [45] blank. - Shaw & Shoemaker, 28616. - Shaw & Shoemaker, 30586
