Item Description:Drake, M. Almanacs, 5255. - Folded leaf, unnumbered, unsigned, and printed on one side only, precedes title page. - Garnett's introductory note to this issue, "here offered to the public," is dated April, 1805. His preface to his Tables requisite tobe used with the nautical ephemeris (New Brunswick, 1806) is dated October 11, 1806, and states that "The Nautical almanac and astronomical ephemeris [have] been printed in America from the years 1803 to 1809 [i.e., 1806?] inclusive. - Shaw & Shoemaker, 13171. - The reprinted preface to the British edition, p. [iii-vi], is signed: Nevil Maskelyne, Astronomer Royal. Greenwich, March 1, 1804
