Item Description:Followed by two resolutions of St. John's Lodge, No. 31, dated March 1, 1809, and signed by Morris Goldsmith, secretary. - Last two pages blank. - Reinforcing the corresponding committee's circular of Jan. 7, 1809 (Shaw & Shoemaker no. 17564), which opposed the union of South Carolina's grand lodges of Ancient York Masons and Modern Masons, and recommending reorganization of the Grand Lodge of Ancient York Masons.
