Beschreibung: | Several important developments in our understanding of the chemistry of weathering have occurred in the last few years: 1. There has been a major breakthrough in our understanding of the mechanisms controlling the kinetics of sil icate dissolution, and there have been major advances in computer modeling of weathering processes. 2. There has been a growing recognition of the importance of organic solutes in the weathering process, and hence of the inter-relationships between mineral weathering and the terrestrial ecosystem. 3. The impact of acid deposition ("acid rain") has been widely recognized. The processes by which acid deposition is neutral ized are closely related to the processes of normal chemical weathering; an understanding of the chemistry of weathering is thus essential for predicting the effects of acid deposition. 4. More high-qual ity data have become available on the chemical dynamics of smal I watersheds and large river systems, which represent the integrated effects of chemical weathering |

The impact of acid deposition ("acid rain") has been widely recognized. The processes by which acid deposition is neutral ized are closely related to the processes of normal chemical weathering; an understanding of the chemistry of weathering is thus essential for predicting the effects of acid deposition. 4. More high-qual ity data have become available on the chemical dynamics of smal I watersheds and large river systems, which represent the integrated effects of chemical weathering Geography Geochemistry Hydraulic engineering Earth Sciences Hydrogeology Geografie Geowissenschaften Chemischer Prozess (DE-588)4147636-0 gnd rswk-swf Wetter (DE-588)4065852-1 gnd rswk-swf Chemische Verwitterung (DE-588)4238806-5 gnd rswk-swf Verwitterung (DE-588)4063385-8 gnd rswk-swf Chemie (DE-588)4009816-3 gnd rswk-swf Geochemie (DE-588)4020198-3 gnd rswk-swf 1\p (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content 2\p (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift gnd-content 3\p (DE-588)1071861417 Konferenzschrift 1984 Rodez gnd-content Verwitterung (DE-588)4063385-8 s Chemie (DE-588)4009816-3 s 4\p DE-604 Wetter (DE-588)4065852-1 s Geochemie (DE-588)4020198-3 s 5\p DE-604 Chemischer Prozess (DE-588)4147636-0 s 6\p DE-604 Chemische Verwitterung (DE-588)4238806-5 s 7\p DE-604 https://doi.org/10.1007/978-94-009-5333-8 Verlag Volltext 1\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 2\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 3\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 4\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 5\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 6\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk 7\p cgwrk 20201028 DE-101 https://d-nb.info/provenance/plan#cgwrk |
