George-Town, November 6, 1790: Sir, Having established a post from Fredericksburg, through the counties of King George, Westmoreland, Northumberland, Lancaster, and Richmond, with a view of promoting my interest, and accommodating the public, in the conveyance of letters and circulation of newspapers, I hope that I shall meet with your friendship and assistance in the prosecution of the same; and in obtaining subscribers to the George-Town weekly ledger, (published in Maryland) and the Fredericksburg herald, (published in Virginia)
