intellectual property law. This edition of Design Law considers the protection of designs under EU and US laws, and analyses not only sui generis design law, but also copyright, trade mark and unfair competition laws. The book specifically examines the availability of protection under the EU Design Regulation and Directive, the Trade Mark Regulation, national copyright law, international treaties such as the Berne Convention, Paris Convention and TRIPS Agreements, as well as the US federal design patent, copyright and trade dress laws. It further investigates the developing body of case law which has been steadily coming out of the EU Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) in this area. Professor Uma Suthersanen is Professor in International Intellectual Property Law, at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies. Queen Mary, University of London. She is the Editor of the European Copyright and Design Reports (Sweet & Maxwell) and is the current Vice-Chairman of the British Literary and Artistic Copyright Association and an Executive Committee Member of the Association Litteraire et Artistique Internationale (ALAI).
