| Zusammenfassung: | Die Gedichte in dieser bemerkenswerten thailändischen Handschrift aus der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts Gedichte stammen von einem unbekannten Dichter. Sie alle haben das gleiche Thema: durch das Schreiben versucht der Autor, die Trauer um den Verlust einer geliebten Frau zu überwinden. Unter Rückgriff auf alle Möglichkeiten, die thailändische Sprache, Dichtung und Kunst zu bieten haben, wird jedes Gedicht als ein Kunstwerk für sich gestaltet. Dem Text vorangestellt sind 13 Miniaturen, die mythologische Figuren und Themen thailändischer Legenden darstellen: Kinnari (mythische Vogelwesen), in der hinduistischen und buddhistischen Mythologie berühmt für ihre Sanges- und Tanzkunst und die permanente Beschäftigung mit Liebesdingen, fungieren hier wohl als Musen; die blitzende Kristallkugel der Mekhalā und die Donneraxt des Ramasun illustrieren den Gewittermythos; der Held des thailändischen Ramayana-Epos, Phra Ram, verliert seine Fraun Nāng Sidā, als er einem goldenen Hirsch hinterherjagt.
