Zusammenfassung:Exploring a space between the personal and the political, South African artist William Kentridge investigates the diseased, amnesiac consciousness of late and post-apartheid South Africa. Kentridge films his charcoal drawings as they mutate through hundreds of successive erasures and alterations. Since erasure is never complete, the drawings and films carry within them the history of their making. In this film, the artist is seen at work, and reflecting on his creative process during the final stages of animating 'Stereoscope'.
