(TIAs) and strokes.
Strokes are the major cause of disabillity in the US and UK, and

of strokes are preventable. Awareness and active inter¬
vention can prevent the dangers of strokes, especially in high-
risk groups. By starting with an explanation of TIAs, which so
often precede strokes, this work aims to make more physicians
aware of the treatment regimens necessary to manage TIAs.
