US-GÄAP-Konzernabschlüsse erstellt und Erfahrungen mit diesen inter¬
nationalen Regelwerken gesammelt Seit 2005 sind nunmehr alle börsen¬
notierten Unternehmen in der EU verpflichtet, ihre Konzernabschlüsse nach
IFRS aufzustellen; für einige wenige besteht eine Übergangsfrist bis 2007.
Obwohl die Absicht bestand, den Unternehmen in der Umstellungszeit mit
den IFRS eine stabile Plattform zur Verfügung zu stellen, kann davon de facto
nicht ausgegangen werden, weil die IFRS laufend angepasst und erweitert
werden. Sowohl die Umstellung als auch die laufende Anpassung an Ände-
rungenhaben erhebliche Auswirkungen auf die Rechnungslegung und
das Controlling.
Die internationale Rechnungslegung steckt voller Überraschungen, die für
das Rechnungswesen und Controlling beträchtliche Folgewirkungen haben.
Sie beeinflusst die Bilanzwerte sowie die Gewinnermittlung und stellt hohe
Anforderungen an die internen Informationssysteme. Die Befassung mit
den bestehenden Standards und den absehbaren Entwicklungen ist für alle
Unternehmen von hoher Bedeutung, da nur so die Konsequenzen hinreichend
abgeschätzt, gestaltet und für längerfristige Unternehmensentscheidungen
berücksichtigt werden können.
