Bundesstadt Bonn. All
three works were
first performed during the Dreyfus Cen¬
tenary
1994.
Based entirely on historical
material, the Trilogy has become known as
a Munirai
Testimony:
This uniquely designed book gives the
unabridged texts of the three works in
h'nglish and contains striking performance
photographs, both in colour and black and
white, and newly published documentary
material. Through the penetrating texts of
the author, the reader

events and the new outbreaks of racism and

George R. Whyte has spent a lifetime
volved
with the arts
administrativei)
creatively as musician, director and
ducer. He
is of Hungarian extraction and
the loss of mam members of'his family in
the Holocaust has
leti a
deep mark on him.
His interests have increasingly focused on
the role of the arts in the battle against
social injustices, especially racism.
Mr WTiyte has devoted the last decade to
an intensive study of the Dreyfus Vffairand
has emerged as a world authority on the
subject. His research has taken him as far
afield as the Secret Archives of the Vatican
and the Library of the Hebrew I niversity,
Jerusalem. He was also privileged to inter¬
view many members of the
Drev tus
fami¬
ly. He sees the Affair as a meticulously
documented example of the process of
racism and as a warning of the tragic con¬
sequences which may result if evil is left
unchecked at its source.

the subject. His travelling exhibition on it
