Zusammenfassung: | This is the first comprehensive study of the prefaces of the major French Renaissance writers of short narrative form. The recent renewal of interest in the art of printing, in the performative aspects of prefatory discourse, and in reader response has stimulated research in liminary forms Sampling the Book sets the prologues of better-known storytellers - such as Rabelais, Bonaventure Des Periers, and Marguerite de Navarre - in the context of the prologues of both major and minor conteurs: Philippe de Vigneulles, Noel du Fail, Jacques Yver, le Seigneur de Cholieres, Nicholas de Troyes, Beroalde de Verville, and others Renaissance printing practices had a profound effect on the development of the prologue. As printed works began to reach an increasingly expanded public, writers began to use the liminary space of their works not only to announce the title and contents of the work to follow but to try to influence the reception of the text by offering guidelines to the reader |

Press u.a. 1994 136 S. txt rdacontent n rdamedia nc rdacarrier This is the first comprehensive study of the prefaces of the major French Renaissance writers of short narrative form. As printed works began to reach an increasingly expanded public, writers began to use the liminary space of their works not only to announce the title and contents of the work to follow but to try to influence the reception of the text by offering guidelines to the reader Geschichte 1500-1600 Geschichte 1460-1600 gnd rswk-swf Geschichte 1500-1600 gnd rswk-swf Frans gtt Prologen gtt Proza gtt Französisch Geschichte Authority in literature Authors and readers France History 16th century Books France Format French fiction 16th century Criticism, Textual French fiction 16th century History and criticism Theory, etc Literary form History 16th century Prologues and epilogues History and criticism Renaissance France Short stories, French Criticism, Textual Transmission of texts France Vorwort (DE-588)4135881-8 gnd rswk-swf Erzählung (DE-588)4015464-6 gnd rswk-swf Renaissance (DE-588)4049450-0 gnd rswk-swf Französisch (DE-588)4113615-9 gnd rswk-swf Paratext (DE-588)4221771-4 gnd rswk-swf Prolog (DE-588)4192037-5 gnd rswk-swf Frankreich Frankreich (DE-588)4018145-5 gnd rswk-swf Frankreich (DE-588)4018145-5 g Erzählung (DE-588)4015464-6 s Paratext (DE-588)4221771-4 s Geschichte 1500-1600 z DE-604 Französisch (DE-588)4113615-9 s Vorwort (DE-588)4135881-8 s Renaissance (DE-588)4049450-0 s Prolog (DE-588)4192037-5 s DE-188 Geschichte 1460-1600 z HBZ Datenaustausch application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=006409938&sequence=000002&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis |
