Zusammenfassung:Abstract: "The DTI-funded Awareness Initiative in Object-Oriented Computing has involved 18 research groups in Higher Education Institutions within the UK. Each of the groups has carried out work on some practical aspect of object-oriented computing, generally involving the implementation of a language or an application running on a Linn Smart Computing REKURSIV system. This report gives a brief description of the REKURSIV architecture and a resume of each of the projects. Full versions of the final reports for each project are held by the Director of the Initiative and by the relevant participants. The report concludes with a commentary on the success or otherwise of specialist architectures, and on the success of the Awareness Initiative."
