Zusammenfassung: | Abstract: "Most performance measurement facilities for multiprocessor computer systems provide some form of event tracing. Textual review of an event trace, however, can be a cumbersome task especially if the trace is large. JED is a tool designed to graphically display multiprocessor events. No event interpretation is made by JED save for determining when an event occurred and where (i.e. on what logical task). JED supports user customization of event display graphics and special purpose event data displays. Multi-ported viewing of an event trace is provided as well as the ability to simultaneously view multiple traces. This paper describes the organization, operation, and use of JED in the context of the Cedar multiprocessor system." |
