Summary:Abstract: "This paper suggests how the Lazy Task Creation, and the Sponsor Model can be framed in the Hierarchical Task Graph intermediate program representation. We start by reviewing the problem of run-time parallelism management, first in the imperative languages setting, and next in LISP and other functional languages. Before describing the Hierarchical Task Graph (HTG) program representation [GP90], we review the basic notions of control and data dependence analysis. Finally we describe how to modify the algorithm proposed in [P90] to take into account the Lazy Task Creation and the Sponsor model for exploiting speculative computations in LISP."
