Summary:Abstract: "Limit cycle computation of oscillating electric circuits without external input can be formulated as a two point boundary- value problem. An efficient way to solve it is developed, based on inner coupling of a stiff integration method and multiple shooting. Furthermore, if the structure of this specific boundary-value problem is taken into account, this algorithm can be accelerated and stabilized by some analytical calculations. To test the method, a complete set of equations, including parameters, is given, which describes a ring oscillator, consisting of a series of N MOS-FET inverters. The MOS-FET transistors are substituted by a circuit invented by Schichman and Hodges."
