Zusammenfassung: | "This book provides the first comprehensive overview of atheism, secularity and non-religion in Central and Eastern Europe in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. In contrast to scholarship that has focused on the 'decline of religion' and secularization theory, the book builds upon recent trends to focus on the 'rise of non-religion' itself. While the label of 'post-communism' might suggest a generalized perception of the region, this survey reveals that the precise developments in each country before, after and even during the communist era are surprisingly diverse. A multinational team of contributors provide interdisciplinary case studies covering Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria. This approach utilises perspectives from social and intellectual history in combination with sociology of religion in order to cover the historical development of secularity and secular thought, complemented with sociological data. The study is framed by methodological and analytical chapters. Offering an important geographical perspective to the study of freethought, atheism, secularity and non-religion, this wide-ranging book will be of significant interest to scholars of twentieth-century social and intellectual history, sociology of religion and non-religion, cultural and religious studies, philosophy and theology"-- |

Offering an important geographical perspective to the study of freethought, atheism, secularity and non-religion, this wide-ranging book will be of significant interest to scholars of twentieth-century social and intellectual history, sociology of religion and non-religion, cultural and religious studies, philosophy and theology"--</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="648" ind1=" spelling | Freethought and atheism in Central and Eastern Europe the development of secularity and nonreligion edited by Tomáš Bubík, Atko Remmel and David Václavík London ; New York Routledge 2020 xiii, 331 Seiten Illustration, Diagramme txt rdacontent n rdamedia nc rdacarrier Routledge studies in religion "This book provides the first comprehensive overview of atheism, secularity and non-religion in Central and Eastern Europe in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Offering an important geographical perspective to the study of freethought, atheism, secularity and non-religion, this wide-ranging book will be of significant interest to scholars of twentieth-century social and intellectual history, sociology of religion and non-religion, cultural and religious studies, philosophy and theology"-- Geschichte 1870- gnd rswk-swf Free thought / Europe, Central / History / 20th century Free thought / Europe, Central / History / 21st century Free thought / Europe, Eastern / History / 20th century Free thought / Europe, Eastern / History / 21st century Atheism / Europe, Central / History / 20th century Atheism / Europe, Central / Hisitory / 21st century Atheism / Europe, Eastern / History / 20th century Atheism / Europe, Eastern / History / 21st century Irreligion / Europe, Central / History / 20th century Irreligion / Europe, Central / History / 21st century Irreligion / Europe, Eastern / History / 20th century Irreligion / Europe, Eastern / History / 21st century Secularism / Europe, Central / History / 20th century Secularism / Europe, Central / History / 21st century Secularism / Europe, Eastern / History / 20th century Secularism / Europe, Eastern / History / 21st century Atheism fast Free thought fast Irreligion fast Secularism fast Atheismus (DE-588)4003364-8 gnd rswk-swf Säkularismus (DE-588)4463409-2 gnd rswk-swf Freidenker (DE-588)4155277-5 gnd rswk-swf Central Europe fast Eastern Europe fast Osteuropa (DE-588)4075739-0 gnd rswk-swf (DE-588)4143413-4 Aufsatzsammlung gnd-content Osteuropa (DE-588)4075739-0 g Atheismus (DE-588)4003364-8 s Säkularismus (DE-588)4463409-2 s Freidenker (DE-588)4155277-5 s Geschichte 1870- z DE-604 Bubík, Tomáš 1967- (DE-588)1075260779 edt Remmel, Atko 1975- (DE-588)1216716242 edt Václavík, David 1975- (DE-588)1216716587 edt Erscheint auch als Online-Ausgabe 978-0-429-27607-1 Digitalisierung BSB München - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=032093151&sequence=000001&line_number=0001&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Inhaltsverzeichnis Digitalisierung BSB München - ADAM Catalogue Enrichment application/pdf http://bvbr.bib-bvb.de:8991/F?func=service&doc_library=BVB01&local_base=BVB01&doc_number=032093151&sequence=000003&line_number=0002&func_code=DB_RECORDS&service_type=MEDIA Register // Gemischte Register |
