A Profile of Kenyan Entrepreneurs A Profile of Kenyan Entrepreneurs profiles a dozen of Kenya s most successful entrepreneurs across a variety of industries - manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, 1CT, retail, media and entertainment to name a few. About the authors Wanjirti Waitliaka holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce degree holli from the University of Nairobi. She worked in the private sector for nine years before venturing
into writing. She has worked with the Nation Media Croup (NMG), writing for the Daily Nation, Business Daily and The East African. Her major accomplishments include compiling the speeches, presentations and discussions of the two-day Pan Africa Media Conference held from 18-19 March 2010 in Nairobi, Kenya into a book titled Media The Africa Promise published by NMG in ¡une 2011. The conference was jointly hosted by NMG and the Africa Media Initiative. She is also the author of The Unbroken Spirit - a fictional work that won third prize in the adult fiction category of the ¡ото Kenyatta Prize for Literature in 2007. Evans Majeni holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi. After graduation, he worked with Credit Banking Corporation (now CFC Stanbic Bank) as a management trainee before moving to Middle East Bank Kenya Limited as a Credit Officer. He left the promising banking career in 2002 to join Marketing Africa Magazine as an editor. He is thefounder of Laidi Development Sacco Society Limited - a savings and credit cooperative society for small and medium enterprises.
