John Grierson (* 26. April 1898 in Deanston bei Doune, Schottland; † 19. Februar 1972 in Bath, England) war ein britischer Dokumentarfilmregisseur und -produzent. Er gilt als „Vater des britischen und kanadischen Dokumentarfilms“ und ihm wird die Einführung des Begriffes „documentary“ zugeschrieben.
