She was a student of the masters Eduardo Fornasari and Nelson Ramos. She worked as a teacher, illustrated in the press and in the publishing field. She also worked as a curator and museum manager. She has worked in the theater field as a costume and set designer. She has received numerous awards and distinctions. Her work is characterized by the intensity of her expressive language and her exploration of diverse artistic media." Pilar Gónzalez was born in Montevideo on November 24, 1955. She trained with prestigious teachers in the 1970s and 1980s. Her drawings, paintings and installations have been awarded several prizes and have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in America, Europe and Australia
